Questions about Testing

Will I be able to drive home after my test?
If your test is being done at the Northpointe office, you will be able to drive yourself home. However, if your test is being done at the hospital, you may need to have a driver with you. At the time your test is scheduled, our office will let you know if you will need to make arrangements for someone to drive you home.

How long will my test take?
Each test is different, and some take an hour, and some take several hours. Select the test you will be undergoing on the right of this screen, and review the details - you will learn how long the test will take, what to expect, what to wear, and more.

Who will provide me with my test results?
Your results will be shared with you by the physician who ordered the test. Often this may be your own personal physician who referred you to our office.

What does "non-invasive" mean?
Non-invasive refers to those tests that do not require an incision.

Can arrangements be made if I need an interpreter?
Please make arrangements for a translator or an interpreter to accompany you to your appointment.

What if I'm a diabetic patient?
Diabetic patients should follow their medication and diet schedule as prescribed by their doctor. Depending upon the test you are having, it may be helpful for you to bring a snack or lunch with you to your appointment.
